Basalt fiber is a new type of inorganic, eco-friendly, green, high-performance fiber material with excellent mechanical properties. Its elastic modulus and tensile strength surpass many other types of fibers. Additionally, it has outstanding characteristics such as corrosion resistance, high-temperature resistance (with a maximum operating temperature of up to 700°C and a softening point of 960°C), electrical insulation, thermal insulation, sound absorption, and noise reduction. Moreover, it is biodegradable and harmless to the environment. Basalt fiber is widely used in reinforced composites, friction materials, shipbuilding materials, thermal insulation materials, the automotive industry, road construction, aerospace, high-temperature filtration fabrics, and safety protection.

Basalt fiber veil, made from basalt fiber, has the dual functionalities of glass fiber veil and carbon fiber veil. It can form a resin-rich layer of over 80% resin content on the surface of composite material products, resulting in a bright, smooth surface while also enhancing the product's leak-proof and corrosion-resistant capabilities. It is a crucial material for winding molding, pultrusion molding, and other composite applications. Basalt fiber veil can also be combined with reinforcing fabrics for use in building materials, providing thermal insulation, soundproofing, and noise reduction.
